Famed Fashion Photographer Patrick McMullan for pingg

Just in time for Fashion Week, pingg, the style and design-focused invitation, ecard and event management company has joined forces with world renowned fashion, society and nightlife photographer Patrick McMullan, and today launched a collection of 30 fashion-themed online invitations and ecards.

The collection provides an all-access pass through Patrick McMullan’s skilled lens. From bustling backstage hair and makeup chairs, to photographers assembled at the end of runway, images capture the beauty and chaos that happens inside that Tents at Bryant Park, a.k.a Fashion Week.

Tiovivo Design

Lets talk a little thing or two about Tiovivo Design and what we love about them.

Tiovivo Design, a remarkable blogshop that we came across, which has a very unique style in branding their fashionable wear. We were so immersed in their fun pictures that we actually took our time to look through their whole blog. Needless to say, their photos are excellent. Combined by the brains and skills of 4 individual designers, who have the same love in having reasons to stay up late, and wanting to make the world a better place, comes Tiovivo Design.

When we were looking for more information on the brains behind Tiovivo Design, we read on their side panel that they themselves had no idea why they started the business in the first place. It was merely by instinct, that they came up with Tiovivo Design and they have indeed proven to be one of the best blogshop with the best photos we have came across so far. Pictures of the sea side and of other places such as Melaka town, portrayed nostalgia feeling for those who view them and that is something we totally love - a totally different theme from other blogshops and each picture does not have the same effect, in fact they made us want more.

Be Fun and Spontaneous

Photos are always best to look at when they are shot spontaneously. Of course sometimes, spontaneous shots do not come out as nice as one would expect them to be, but it is widely recommended by professional photographers for the person behind the camera to try and take a few candid shots of a subject, preferably when someone is laughing or daydreaming or maybe when there's a bunch of friends gathering for a reunion or a party.

For instance, weddings are the best occasion for candid shots. People laughing and dancing, children smiling while running around, Bride and Groom looking at their best. It takes these kinds of photos to make a photo album complete and nice to look back at.

We came across PrettyEverAfter, which takes very spontaneous photos at different locations. As we see them, their pictures portray positive and happy looking models without taking off the limelight from their main target picture, their clothes. Lovely!

The Best Photo

We truly believe that everyone in life should make things plain and simple. When things are plain and simple, there will be no war, no fights, no complications, just plain nothing-out-of-the-ordinary life.

Ok, not that plain! what we are trying to say is that for a picture to stand out, its really not necessary to focus much on the background or add ons that you include to make your photo look complete. All you need is a white background, and the object or person that you want to take a photo of.

Why plain white background? Because anything in front of something white, no matter grey, silver or something light, will stand out from the white and it does not only makes your picture outstanding, the whole picture carries a clean and fresh look that people would love to lay their eyes on. On top of that, it seriously draws the attention to the object that you are taking of. Isnt that what everybody wants to achieve? Straight to the point, nothing else.

We came across No Plain Days, an online boutique. It hit us that their pictures are so fresh looking, so fun and gentle, yet it spells out what they are trying to sell. We really love the way they took them, real candid. Way to go girls!!
