Some of the dogs are swimming to the kelong but they have been turned away by workers on these kelongs. Some don't have the energy to fight the currents & drown. We have offered the Indonesian workers on these kelongs some money to haul up dogs that try to get there so that we can put them in cages for us to go collect. We have also asked them to try to get the dogs for us & build a floating pontoon to put food on the island. The tide will rise & fall but food on the pontoon will not be washed away and hopefully, the dogs get at it. A temporary solution before we can get to them.
Time is against us & every second we waste, is a second closer to their doomsday. If you know of someone who can spare us the use of their boat for transporting of the cages to land, we would really appreciate it. Please get them to call Sabrina at +60166319018.
