A Victorian Masquerade

FASHION enthusiasts can look forward to being dazzled by fabulous clothing at The Curve from May 14 to 17.

Themed Victorian Masquerade, Malaysia’s first pedestrianised lifestyle shopping mall will be transformed to exude a touch of Moulin Rouge’s bohemian and gypsy style.

The Centre Court of the Curve will also be decorated with rich colours, including maroon, burgundy and copper with long curtains for that added drama.

Hosted by Elaine Daly, the Curve’s fashion show will feature a diverse array of brands that will suit young adults and working executives.

Guests will be treated to collections from Liz Clairborne, Debenhams, Metrojaya, Padini Concept Store, MCKY, Binwani’s, Elements, August Eight Collection, Kitschen, Nichii Fashion City, Uluwatu, 9 Months and many more.

The models’ hairstyles will also be sponsored by Hair Kunst and Peek-A-Boo Hairsalon.

A five-piece “rockestra” will perform during the fashion show. The “rockestra” will mesmerise guests by playing a mixture of classical and rock music with instruments such as the guitar and violin. The fourth runner-up of the Malaysian Idol Season 2, Ash Nair, will be performing together with the troupe.

The Curve centre manager Adele D. Flores said: “This year, we chose the Victorian Masquerade theme as it echoes our vision of an elegant and glamorous Fashion Week. "

“In essence, we want to attract fashion lovers with stunning and eye-catching outfits. Our goal is to encourage shoppers to explore our various fashion outlets which offer a wide range of apparel and accessories to suit different tastes and needs.”
